Hey folks, I didn't think to post this here until just now. The Texas Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers is hosting a habitat improvement volunteer work weekend on Rita Blanca on April 22-24. We are going to camp out at Thompson Grove Campground on Friday night, then work with USFWS staff to raise the bottom wire on fences so the pronghorns can get around better and get away from coyotes. It really makes a huge difference to do this on the fences, last year during the snowpacolypse lots of antelope died, in part due to not being able to move around and get to open not frozen water. Those few draw hunt tags were and will be even fewer now, so we need to help get those population numbers back up! If you would like more details, go to https://www.backcountryhunters.org/rita_blanca_grassland_habitat_improvement_project or hit me up with any questions.

Correction - U.S. Forest Service staff, not U.S Fish and Wildlife (USFWS).
