How many people here are familiar with the fish-scale checkering pattern instead of traditional checkering of rifles and shotguns? I was wondering if anyone knows where one can get this done to a gun. I cannot find anywhere that does it other than some European manufacturers.

Wish I could be of some help but, like you, I'm not immediately aware of anyone in the States that does fish scale. It does seem to appear occasionally on guns built "on the Continent" and not much anywhere else. Can't say that the style is to my particular taste, but then that's not a consideration at all...
Good luck with your search!
