You get one hunt you can go on, for one animal, once in your life.......Where do you go?

For me, my ultimate trophy is a Rocky Mountain Bighorn in B.C

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I’m completely pleased with where I hunt big whitetails right now. No bucket list hunt for me. Interesting topic so I am curious about others wish list.

I got mine over 40 years ago. Mountain Goat in British Columbia. Hanging on the wall and every time I look at it, what
great memories it brings back. Of course back then the whole trip including air from Ft. Worth, to B.C. and the hunt, guide etc was
a total of $3,000 only thing not included was the mounting of the goat.

180" deer on my land. LF of course.

Have never really had any desire to hunt anywhere exotic, except I would like to bird hunt in Argentina. Alaskan Grizzly or Moose would be cool as well.

that actually means its gotten cheaper. If you stuck that $3K in the market at that time, you'd have $48k today.

I still haven’t made a bass fishing trip to El Salto. That’s the only trophy destination I’ll ever go to. I would like to kill an elk in west Texas, but I won’t pay to do so. I might pay to run mountain lion with dogs one day but I doubt it.

I ride with the Reverend. A close second would be anywhere I could get a world class muley. Likely Colorado, I guess.

I have a bighorn from CO,
[Linked Image]

a mountain goat from CO
[Linked Image]

and a Stone Sheep from Northern BC.
[Linked Image]

And I inherited this from my Grandfather who got it when he was a missionary in China before WWII
[Linked Image]

But I would dearly love to hunt an Ammon Argali
[Linked Image]

A Golden Takin
[Linked Image]

And a Zebra Duiker
[Linked Image]

All are still available on legal hunts but you need deep pockets for all of them except the Zebra Duiker and that one depends on a lot of luck.

Had mine back in 2006. Nebraska has once in a lifetime elk hunt. Took 21 years to draw. 325 B&C 6x7 bull. Kept track of all costs from time I left until Bull in freezer and mount in man cave. Total cost (including mount and 11 cu ft freezer) $2,300. That wouldn’t hardly cover the kill fee alone today.

Very nice QMC!

It sure about the trophy but the hunt I think I would enjoy the most would be a European driven boar hunt.
