For those who have hunted Aquilla as a Type-II (AHP), it has now been folded into the Lake Whitney program. Bow-hunting only for deer. No more ML/SG.

You will need to actually visit the COE office below Whitney dam to get/renew your permit for Lake Whitney, and it will also include Aquilla.

I hunted Aquilla some lasy year and then when back to archery for a longer season/additional access.

I have never hunted Lake Whitney or Aquilla Lake before. I see that both are bow hunting only this year. With that in mind, there should be less pressure on the game shouldn't there? Is it over run with hunters? Can someone give me some run down on hunting these areas? Thanks.

Always drink upstream from the herd.
