Adding an hour in the morning would put sunrise at about 8:15 - 8:30 in the colder months. That is here in San Antonio, northern states you can add to that. That would suck. And that is what got this idea removed when they tried this in the mid '70s. If I understand correctly.
This and people were running over kids walking to school in the dark.

I dunno. That extra hour of daylight always causes drought in the summer. 🤓 Yep, and my uncle always claimed his corn grew faster with that extra hour of sunlight.........

Because not doing it is stupid. Kids ain't milking cows before school anymore. Letting everyone have a later sunrise, and later sunset is a good thing. It's at least better than what we are doing. That December 21, dark at 5:20 pm is terrible! This. 100%. People doing a normal workday in the winter go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. Having daylight left over in the evening will be very beneficial. Other places, such as golf courses will benefit from the later sunset. I sure hope it passes.
