Sure looks like a Brittany or Brittany mix. For example.

I thought the same but has very short hair. Maybe a cross between pointer and Brittany?
He’s a sad case! Owner was visiting someone and let him out to pee. He wandered off about 2 streets and was picked up by a Samaritan. She came forward and said she doesn’t want him anymore 😡 After having him since a pup🤬 I thought surely he has issues but no problems yet, been a pleasure to have around!

You could always do doggie DNA. They are under $100 now. Could be a GPS mix too.
The real question is will he HUNT?

Brittany GSP cross looks like. Put out a live quail and see what it does.

I took him with me to the lease. Appears to be hunting. Walked around my place but have too many dogs. He hunted mainly for a place to pee! 🤦♂️

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I was able to place him in a good home with a purpose. Retired nurse that was recently diagnosed with cancer. Lives alone and huge dog lover. I made him a promise that the dog will be taken care of things if things go south with his health!
Thanks
