Kind of vague question. It vary’s with activity and temp. My sorels are really warm but I would want to hike a couple miles in though.
Most the time just my normal non-insulated Hanwag’s with gators . If I’m stationary and real cold, sorel packs. If late winter(<10) up north like in Montana but hiking in Mtn’s I’d go with a kennetek/schnees type lace up pack boot.

Comfortable waterproof boots with gaiters. Insulated boots are a plus especially if you're sitting a lot.

Meindl insulated gore tex boots have worked well for me for many NW Colorado diy elk hunting.

Most the time I just run my normal non-insulated Hanwag’s with gators. High teens to 100 degrees. Only thing that vary’s is socks. If I’m stationary and real cold, sorel packs. You say snow, but that is relative. 1-3" of snow when deer and elk hunting in early Nov is much different than late season 6-10 inches in Nov and Dec. A lot of the premium insulated hunting boots are fine for a day or two in cold weather, and even mud and snow IF you can dry them out every day. When it gets really cold, everyone you see will be in some type of pac boots. Better traction, wider base and more stable, and replaceable liners so you can change out to dry ones. If doing a lot of sitting still or standing, even add a extra half inch wool or felt pad under the liner. Most Idahoans or western Wyoming will be in Sorels (Caribou), while Montanas will tend to gravitate to Schnee's (Hunter) from Bozeman.

Non insulated Crispi boots with gaiters if I’m hiking , especially in any kind of elevation. Sitting still in a tree stand, I wear my rubber 1200 gr thinsulate rubber boots with heavy merino socks

I've tried a bunch of expensive boots, but If I'm going to be in snow for any length of time, I always go back to my Type II Mickey Mouse boots.

I'd have 2 pair of boots of that hunt. You can dry one pair out while wearing the other. Insulated, gore tex is great with gaiters for deeper snow. Spouse wears uninsulated boots for his hunting unless it is bitter cold then the packs go on, Grizzly pack boot. I have 400 gr insulated boots because my feet get cold any time.
Sometimes it is not really that cold with even 6 inches of snow, good taller boots and gaiters will work well. Waterproof boots with some insulation would be my recc. but it all depends on how cold your feet get. I have an old pair of Lacrosse Trappers I wear for elk hunting if it's really cold with snow. As Blank mentioned pack boots can have the liner taken out to dry.
We see more Schnees over this way too Blank.

Schnee’s/kenntrek/hoffman type pack boots lace up alot tighter then the Sorels. Sorel are great but I personally are not hiking mountains in them, if I had to hike I’d look at schnee/kennetrek etc.
I do have a pair of sorels that are 40 years old. I'm still in disbelief the rubber hasn't cracked out.

You obviously haven't tried the newer Sorels, as they fit a lot better nowadays. I love them, and they are less than half the price of Schnee's. All those extra laces are a PIA when wet and frozen, and the last two pairs I had fell apart and their Customer Service sucked!!!

A pair of tall rubber over boots that fit over your regular boots. We wore them in North Dakota when it was not cold enough to lug around the bunny boots. They were also excellent for most of the marshy areas that we hunted, https://www.amazon.com/ONGUARD-86030-Overshoe-Cleated-Outsole/dp/B003Y2S0P8If your feet sweat bad, take extra dry socks, these boots don't let any moisture escape. If you don't your feet will get cold.

Meindl insulated gore tex boots have worked well for me for many NW Colorado diy elk hunting. I liked my Meindl boots until the soles fell off on the side of mountain in the middle of night with an elk quarter on my back in Wyoming. Now I recommend avoiding them.

I had a pair of Cabela's insulated slip-on boots which had the highest insulation weight they sold. I have zero heat in my feet and hands, so I thought they were going to do the trick. My feet still got cold as usual, but anyone with regular circulation would probably think they are too hot. All that said, my complaint was that they were just too heavy. I did a slow stalk on my way out of the woods on opening weekend season before last, and the long walk back to my truck after leaving the woods really took it out of me. Leaning or stooping while lifting them up to step over branches during the stalk out was almost doing me in. I had a little uphill on the road back, and I'm glad a local stopped to talk to me for a few minutes so I could catch my breath. I was dripping sweat, and it was probably in the 50's at that time, up from the 30s in the wee early morning hours.
I ended up selling them after two days of use, and the purchaser was most pleased getting a new pair of boots at about half of the price of new. I just ended up purchasing a pair a cheapy insulated boots and i used foot/toe warmers. I would have tried those USB powered rechargeable insoles, but my Cabela's didn't have them this season for some reason.
Also, I'm no track and field star, but I'm in reasonably good shape for being almost 60. So what I'm say with all of the above blather is that the physical weight of your boots may play a bigger role in satisfaction rather than cold weather insulation.
Retired!

One of the ones I ordered to try out is a Bugaboot iii Snow...the XTM version has a better insulation rating, though. Thx for the link.

They aren’t as spongy as the Sorel’s but they are warm.
