Was able to get in my hunt in near Hebbronville. Found 43 coveys over two days. Took a break from 11:30 to about 2:30 each of the two days. Weather was nice first day, had a little bit of humidity and high of 60. Second day was high of 73 and 18% humidity in afternoon, no wind, and scenting conditions in the afternoons was really tough. Birds were healthy this time, and generally good sized coveys. No snake contact until we went back to hotel Sunday night after the hunt and ran over a six footer. Reminds me of my trip in 2016. We haven’t hunted our lease in the panhandle the last 3 years trying to let them recover.
