Do you have recommendations or offer a Solar Pump for a 400' well. Looking at converting an old well to Solar for livestock. It has not been running in about 10 years

Honestly I’d look into a grundfos sqflex series for that depth. I can special order one from my supplier but they’re pricey and require a lot of power for direct dc.

That's at 300 foot. That would work out to about 6 gallons a day (12 hours good sunshine) I figure one good moo'er in summertime would consume 15 to 20 gallons a day (or more) .
What would pump set at 200 foot be??

Sir your math is incorrect. .5 gpm equals 30 gallons per hour. Let’s say 7 hrs runtime that is 210 gallons per day At 200 foot let’s say 2 gpm. That’s 120 gallons per hour. That would be nearly 1000 gallons per day
At 145 foot in my well I filled up a 2500 gallon tank in 7 hrs.
Your calculation was at .5 gallons per HOUR not per MINUTE
