It's not a Texas issue. It's a Walmart issue. The stores are managed from Arkansas so whatever the Walton in the sky says goes. No store has their own choice what they sell. The temperature is controlled remotely even.

If you want to see a nicer selection of rifles and shotguns at Walmart, drop by a store location the next time you're in Wyoming or Montana. Evidently, the folks in Bentonville aren't as concerned with what the locals think of guns being sold at Walmart in those states. The last time I was in Bozeman the local Walmart had rifles made by Weatherby, Winchester, and Remington just to name a few.

Walmart Gun Barrel City sells guns but has a very weak selection at the moment. The best I saw was early last year in the Walmart closest to JBER in Anchorage. Huge selection.

Look in the sporting goods section. Around Waco I have seen rifles in all of them not a big selection but they are there and they usually have some ammo also.

Your first mistake was shopping at Walmart for guns. Your second mistake was shopping at the Walmarts that have no guns. Why didn’t you stop at BPS or Cabelas??

Please send me the addresses of these Wally worlds you stopped at between SA, and Austin cause the ones I stop at all have guns. Just Hunting rifles and shotguns.

BPS is a scam, they overcharge for every single thing. Cabelas was good before BPS bought them out.

I don't have exact addresses but when I drive around the state or fly from state to state I shop the local Walmarts to see what they have on clearance. Idaho is the only Walmart in the country so far that has guns and nicer camo that is made by Mossy Oak and Real Tree. Even the Sealy Walmart has no guns, and that is out away from the city folks. Bad selection of hunting gear as well.
