My dad shot this in the 70's along the border. No high fence, no feeders. He won the Muy Grande contest that year. 207 3/8

Wow. That buck defines Muy Grande. Love the split brows.

Ahhhh... Romeo Garcia deer... nice... much better pic than the one I have of him... 1977 Zapata County... That deer is a lot better looking in this photo than Big Rack... 216 3/8 Gross 190 3/8 Gross typical frame 181 net typical frame 26 3/8 inches of abnormals... and he weighed... get this... 119 dressed... I bet he looked good with those horns on that body...

It was shot on a small private ranch outside San Ygnacio, Zapata, TX. I want to say around Christmas of 77. The deer had 21-22 points 26" spread. It may still be the biggest actual B&C (low-fence-Real record book) non-typical from Zapata. He shot it with a 30-06 and it weight around 130 field dress. All horns.

I knew he was light! Hadn't looked at the details in years. He makes a beautiful mount. The deer has traveled to a few shows.

Beautiful Deer.
Isn't it funny though. We all get Camoed out now days to go hunting and he probably shot him with the same clothes he had on in that photo.

What a fantastic buck! I've seen this buck before and he's a hoss!
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Yep, I've laughed about that many a time! Guys going to a stand that is fully enclosed but still camo themselves out all the way to their fruit of the looms! LMAO

Sometimes I wonder if it will get to the point you bring an attorney with you out hunting.

A true hoss. Great deer thanks for sharing
