This group had become more regular. Was posted under a big pecan tree/privet thicket with direct sight of my small feeder. Moon was out full and had forgotten my green lens for my light, but I could almost see without light. They came in from my east (left) right behing the landowners house. I could hear them very clearly and I was a little concerned they were going to come under the tree with me. I scooted out a little to see, and they cut across the pasture to the feeder not 20 yards from me. Couldn't bead on them even though they were sauntering at first. They went to race to the feeder so I let them get to the feeder 65 yards out and settle down. Couldn't quite make out clearly with the dark background so I hit the light. Didnt bother them. Settled in and shot. They scatter with a group headed back to my left. Shot again at a grey pig. Headed to the feeder and no pig there. No clue what happened. We t back to see if I hit the grey pig and I did at about 45 yards. My aim was true ( shot a little high) but he was still very much alive, so a head shot finished him. Exit wound was almost fist sized. .308 with custom loaded 168 gr. Hornady AMAX HP. I've had too many runoffs so I'll go back to the SP and see if that makes a difference.
