This Anniversary Edition has a 22" barrel, and the tube holds 18 .22LR, I believe that's the big difference in it and other model 60's. It functions flawlessly and shoots very well, Notth Haven Ct. production. I hit plates at 100 yards with it all the time and at 50 it shoots a very tight, mostly all touching group as you would expect. I rescued it from the pawn shop, it looked like hell. I broke it all the way down and cleaned every very dirty part, put it back together and have had zero issues with it in the 5-6 years I've had it. I found a good deal on a 10-22 that also has a 22" barrel, so this one's gone since I been wanting to ease into shooting rimfire at some longer distances and the whole after market on the 10-22 is huge. The Warne 1" dovetail rings go with it, scope does not unless someone wants to add $250.00 to my price of gun and rings for $175.00. FTF in Lewisville, Grapevine, Colony or at the Ft. Worth Gun show tomorrow, I'm going.

Thoes guns are shooters and hard to kill. Have a brand new DU edition in the safe on a Maple wood stock. My dad won it years ago at a DU dinner. Wipe it down every year to check on it.

I have one in about the same condition as onlysmith&wesson that is a great truck gun and accurate. Had a gunsmith break it down and clean it and put it in the safe. It's a great plinker. Someone got a good deal. Congrats!

The best part about 1988 (and a year or two each way) is they are the only ones to have the long barrel and magazine tube (both shortened after 1988 to 18" barrel and 15-round tube) as well as the last shot bolt hold open (LSBHO) that was only added by Marlin in 1985-ish. It's not the special edition that makes it have the long barrel, they all did until this time when legislation required the magazine to be reduced from 18 rounds to 15.
Score. I would be interested if the deal falls through.
Pass the gravy.

I've been paid, a premium actually to ship it. The deal is solid.
Yes, this .22 is sorta' special with the longer barrel and tube that holds 18 rounds. I found my original post from three years ago when I bought this. Got a good deal on it at my local pawn shop. Like I mentioned, it was dirty and rough so I got to learn how to tear down another gun I've never taken apart before. I had some fun with it and have actually had three different scopes on it.
The best thing I did with it was going right to the dove tail with Warne rings that I sold with the rifle, and the scope that I kept. About the scope; if you ever get the chance to get one jump on it for a rimfire. It's a Vortex 2-8 x 32 Diamondback HP with side focus that made this .22 a 100 yard killer pretty easy. The side focus down to 20 yards made it something you could type your name with on the range. I paid $249.99 from Midway a few years back for it, and don't see Diamondback HP in the Vortex line up any longer. I think it'll work nicely on the Ruger 10-22 Sporter, checkered stock, 22" barrel that I bought here yesterday. I never really wanted a 10-22. My only point of reference was the bone stock bottom of the line up models. I'm going to want to shoot at stuff 80-100 yards, it will spend most of it's life in the front seat of the ranger getting dirty and I'll also see how it shoots on our long range.
No place but here will someone pay you, and trust you to ship. Love the Forum, do the right thing always and we can keep a good thing going.
