Mouth calls, available from several venders, some members here on the forum. Have electronic calls, but haven’t used in years. Do alot of walking and spot hunting, the less to carry the better. For a decoy, use a turkey feather on a stick. Works on two points, wind direction and movement to keep them focused. I ’have an old stuffed animal sqeeker secured on forarm of rifle. Has been the demise of many varmints, couple sqeeks, and they will stop in there tracks for a quick kill shot. But that’s just my

Thanks CM. I do the same with Turkey feathers. Set them up where the totes can approach from down wind without scenting me. The squeaker is a good idea, I was just wondering if anyone uses other calls like a coyote pup, rabbit, or female coyote with success.

Absolutely love mouth calling coyotes and those damn squeakers will bring them in close. Typically when I hit an open field or unknown location I’ll give a few barks on the locator followed by den raid. This is also dictated by time of year, right now is my favorite time to hint because it doesn’t matter what you use, they will come.

Thank BigPig. I wasn’t familiar with the den raid sounds but have looked it up and intend to give it a try.
