Seldom wear it. Not gonna get camo’d up to sit in a box blind. If I was hoofing it I probably would. Haven’t bought any in years!

Same here...some of the most "deer-killingest" people I know are the plaid flannel/blue jeans/brown coverall types.

I wonder how many people here who don’t wear camo strictly are whitetail only hunters out of a box blind?

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

In my younger years I wore camo anytime I was hunting, whether I needed camo or not. As it wore out or shrunk laugh I did not replace much of it.
I still wear it, but more when I need to now.

No camo here. I'm not sitting either, I usually try and walk at least a mile or two everyday in the the woods looking for hogs. Beats going to the gym for exercise. I'm not about to go change into camo to do that.

I see the high dollar camo around that is "cool" now and 99% of the time it's some weekender from Dallas wearing it. No thanks

I always have, and still do wear camo 100% when hunting. I divide my time between a blind, spot and stalk and still hunting from the ground, usually prone. I can't say not wearing it wouldn't work, I wouldn't know. I know wearing it works. I park a long way, maybe a mile sometimes. I see that slow walk along the edge of the dirt road I park on as a spot and stalk opportunity. For hogs, you bet. Just last week in full camo, broad daylight along a gravel creek bank I walked the bank with the brush behind me. I see the hogs, they're looking right at me, maybe 25 yards, they don't know what I am, boom, dropped two, hit another.

Here's one, a few years ago I posted this hunt. I'd killed a buck, on the river. Wide open sandy river bed, probably 80-100 yards wide with zero cover. I was in full camo from laying prone in the weeds on the bank. I'm on my knees working on this buck, cutting towards the pelvic bone. I could not believe this big group of hogs, in the middle of the river bed, coming right me. My rifle was next to me on a bipod, I let them get maybe 40 yards before I shot one. I'm convinced they smelled the kill, didn't have a clue what I was and because I wasn't standing and in full camo they would have came right in and started eating.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I wear camo, may not be full camo depending on weather. A few reasons for it:

- It's quieter and built for purpose (windproof, waterproof, warmer, etc) than a lot of my normal clothes
- I put on new clothes before I go out for a hunt, regardless if it's a sit in a box or somewhere else to minimize scent
- I don't care if it gets dirty or bloody since it blends in

All of that said, I'll sit in a box blind in jeans if the weather is nice, and I'll sometimes go hog hunting in a hoody.

I generally wear camo when deer hunting. I use an open tower stand, and I have trees behind me. It's also my warmest, most outdoor-oriented clothing, as others have mentioned. In the past I've had deer (and a skunk) come right up to me while in camo. Would they have also done so if I wasn't in camo? Possibly.

Not much of a camo guy, except for a couple of cold weather jackets.

We used to pick up paying customers at CC Intl who had pants, shirts, belt and shoes - all in matching camo. Usually bought recently. I would tell them the glare from the crystal on their high dollar watches would provide to be a nuisance, but wasn't exactly right. It only proved to be a nuisance when they discharged their firearms.

Give me a good reason not to and I'll stop.

I only wear camo when it is not cold enough to put on my carhart......or if I'm going to walk and rattle.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Just saw a FB page for a new to me camo company called wtfcamo.

They claim that their new breakup camo was designed with Deer vision in mind.

Any one seen this new camo.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Kind of reminds me of that dazzle camoflauge they put on some ships in WW1 and WW2.

Mostly wear camo when deer hunting. As for the blind comments, usually I start in a blind, so yeah I can be fine with my jeans, which are khaki colored Riggs jeans, and a t-shirt; but invariably when I am wearing just earth tone clothes, I'll have to track someones deer, and see something not coming to a feeder that I want to go try and stalk...

Good points that camo is usually designed for outdoors too;

Seldom wear camo for dove hunting, and I dove hunt 30 plus days a year; being still is the key, and hopefully in the shade...

If I'm sitting in the open against a tree trunk, I wear olive drab pants to blend in with grass, etc. and a grap/brown plain flannel shirt to help match the tree. gloves on hands, some sort of face mask. I think the "fuzzy surface" on flannel wool has some sort of property that doesn't spook deer.
