Love the fixed power scopes. About to set a 6x42 on a Ruger #1. Seems like a likely pair.

Love 6x. Got one on my 8x57mm and 9.3x62mm. Good for closer in rifles.

Fixed 10X SS Mil/Mil on a NEF Handy Rifle.

You can do a whole lot with a fixed 10X.

Love them all. I have a couple of the K-series Weavers on 22's, a fine wire Redfield 4X on a 17HMR, half a dozen M8-4X and 6X Leupold on various guns from 223 up to 7Mag. My all-time favorite scopes are the newer 6x42 Leupold.

My first rifle (Ruger M77 MkII in 6.5x55) had a Burris Fullfield 6x. My dad switched it for a Bushnell that I hated so much that I’ll never own anything Bushnell again. When I asked for my Burris back he said he’d given it away. Miss that scope. Wasn’t happy with my scope until I bought my first Leupold VX2.

I ended up with an old remington 788 from my brother with those "leupold" style rings with a fixed 6x Tasco. I can't remember if the elevation, windage or both dials dialed opposite of what was listed. However, that thing is really clear and could at least hold between sight ins and hunting, the kills are proof enough. Ultimately i wanna rebarrel this rifle and upgarde the base/rings. I might slap another fixed 6x on it.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

When I was young, 4X and now that I'm old, 6X.

God bless John Wayne!

There are probably more quality fixed low power optics out now than there has been in the last 70 years. They just don't look like a classic telescopic rifle sight.

A lot of them are prism that don't work with high power bolt action rifles.

I still have a Japan made Weaver 4X and a Meopta Mepro 6X. The Meopta has very good glass.
