I had some time to kill yesterday when I was in Waco. So, I went to the Toyota place to see if they had a Tundra that I could scratch and sniff. They had no Tundras, and it appeared that they only had one car left to sell. The sales area was deserted, so I guess they laid off the staff they didn’t need. I’d have talked to a salesman if I could have found one. I did help myself to a free donut, so the visit wasn’t a total waste.
And I just read that there’s a 4 year wait for a Toyota Land Cruiser. 4 years…

Perhaps they should retool their factories and make some EMP resistant small pickups? No semiconductor parts used at all. I bet they would sell.

A buddy of mine just bought a new Subaru Outback. He ordered it in September with anticipated delivery in November. Oh, and the price would be MSRP + $1,500! They had little actual inventory. November came but the car did not, and they said it would arrive in December. In December the dealer said they were no longer giving out delivery schedules, the car would just arrive someday. He got it in the 2nd week of January. When he picked it up they mentioned that the current price was not MSRP + $2,500.

I’ve got a minor itch to get a new Tundra, but the old one is just fine. I can wait a year, no sweat.
Washed the ‘old’ Tundra a couple days ago. My neighbor came by and asked “you get a new truck?”. Well, maybe I should wash it more often, but it does look new when clean.

I stopped by the Grapevine lot last May and they only had 3. Ended up trading in my 2017 SR5 for a '21 1794 that day that was just delivered. Didn't plan on it but deserved a nicer truck I figured. The lot looks even emptier all the time.

My company bought me a new 2021 Tundra Platinum w/ the V8. Tacoma and Tundra are the best trucks I have ever owned, period!
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Word coming from a guy here who has a friend that owns a dealership not sure which model but said he has to order ahead for inventory and truck/car prices are gonna go way down come summer. Said inventory will be full and over flowing again. I’ll believe it when I see it. Said chips are gonna be back to normal but from what I’ve seen that ain’t gonna be exactly right.

2022 Tundras are having issues out of the shoot. I would avoid until they get the gremlins worked out. Not what you’d expect out of a Toyota.

I have not seen a new truck on the lot in Rockwall for several months. That is just looking as I drive by. I hope to never step foot in that place again.

I finally found what I was looking for in Fredericksburg. I drove down Thursday and got it. The salesman told me they’d call me when the seat heater chips would be in. So, I have to warm my own seats until the third or fourth quarter. They had exactly 2 trucks on the lot that I saw
