Well, we got hit with some fairly decent size hail, backed by 39 MPH winds. Needless to say, we have some siding repairs coming.

We dodged the storms but it’s blowing 30 plus and the temps dropped 35 degrees in the last 2 hours.

I feel for you. We had a hail storm last April. Truck just went in the body shop, roof was replaced a month ago. Inside work from roof leak, and gutters, still not done.

Some of it is, but we had a section replaced a few years ago, it also has holes in it, just not as many as there are 2 big Maple trees that took the brunt of the damage.
The storm (ambulance) chasers are already calling the houses in our neighborhood about roof inspections. I have already made a call to our insurance people and expect to hear from them tomorrow.

Sorry man. At least you’ll be getting new siding and probably a roof.

Keep that chit down there, I'm waiting on my carport to get here, I caught a tornado that took my roof, and a hailstorm that got another. Don't want my Tundra's paint bent. Yes, I have had them all, this truck rocks.

Sorry for your misfortune. I know that pain all to well and been through it twice in the last 6 years alone. It sucks.

We got about 0.10" of rain in Gilmer. Hate that that happened to you but glad it rolled on by me before doing that!

How old is the roof?

Did you have any broken windows? If your windows are tougher than the siding then the siding is brittle.

The roof is a few months over 4 years old. The company that installed it inspected it this morning and said it has some pretty bad damage. I got a call from their office later today and they said is was still under warranty. I will get with the project manager that lives a few houses away and see what that means. The adjuster will be here on Monday, but since it is a two story house, he is not allowed to get up on the roof. He said he will work with the 3rd party inspector on the damage. I am not sure what the under warranty translated to as far as replacement coverage.

It looks like it went down highway 80 from Longview to Marshall, mostly on the south side. Ours was between nickel to quarter size, but it got larger to the east of us. I have heard reports of 2-1/2" (tennis ball size) near Marshall.
