Heard good stuff about the Toric, but haven't seen one in person. Are they made at LOW in Japan?
2.5-15 with a good objective diameter, good exit pupil, presumably good optics, good FOV, good reticle, locking/exposed elev turret, capped windage, parallax adjustment, 30mm, reasonable price tag, tons of elevation adjustment (not sure I really believe the 30 mrad), and reasonable weight...yeah not much even a picky person like me could complain about. Maybe an answer to more than half of the questions on here

I'll buy one of these scopes as soon as they're available.

I am sure it’s 30 mil total so 15 up 15 down so with 20 MOA base really about 20-21mil of usable elevation I am guessing

Too heavy for what it is That was my thought...unfortunate because they were SO close too. It's one of the lighter FFP hunting scopes so they will sell well but it needed to be 5-8 oz later to answer 50% of the questions here  Vortex LHT is still a better option...if you trust them, I know some don't...I do.

Where is LHT made? ETA: disregard - just saw it's made in Japan. Do they offer an FFP version?

Looks like a typical $600 scope.
Hard pass on the non-illuminated, FFP with early 2000’s reticle and Empire State turret.
The second focal scope looks OK if one is into that.
…..but the glass is nice.

For the same weight scope I believe you will be going backwards The new Tract doesn’t wow me at that price My older lrhs are illuminated. The new 2 Gen glass is a little better but I didn’t see it illuminate

There’s nothing worse for my old eyes, I can’t find the reticle in low light and thats why I’m spending $1-$2k on glass in the first place, for the first and last 30 minutes of legal shooting time. I assure you I’m not the only guy on here who owns FFP scopes but absolutely does not hunt with them from prior bad experiences and not from what somebody typed on the forum. I can only assume your going to mention illuminated reticles next, with the exception of a firedot style illumination I turn on the reticle and I can’t see anything for a few minutes. Having aged eyes changes hunting and for me, FFP is for the range of daytime hunting only.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

FFP is nice but there are times they can suck real bad at low mag during the prime minutes of hunting.

Yall know I sell everything I buy (another one about to be posted) as far as any product, think, will you ever sell it? If so, you will never get close to your money back on any "off-Brand" product. Toric is probably a decent scope but if you are not up on what's what, fail case and point I bought an Athalon 4.5-27 Midas Gen 3. Great scope but since it was not a Leupold, Nightforce, Bushnell (higher end) many thought of it as sub par scope. PLUS, unfortunately for me, it was 2nd focal plane, not very tacticool these days. 2nd is what I like for reasons TEXASLEFTY points out above I lost $75 on the resale, and it was new in box. SO, buy the Tract Toric, enjoy it, post a review.

This is a fair point - this scope would be better with illumination, especially in the lower power range where it's more of a hunting/target hybrid design.

When the XTR 3 came out, my big complaint was the price point. I just haven't seen any Burris glass that would come close to justifying >$1500 models. But the XTR3 does check a ton of boxes.
