What are some of your pet loads for 280AI? Never loaded for one thought I would ask before I get started.

Never loaded a 280 AI but figure it’s pretty comparable to a 280 rem. Pending your desired use a 150 Nosler partition is a great hunting load. Have had good luck with H and IMR 4350 and H 4831.

Same thing, just doesn't meter quite as well as SC, which is Short Cut, smaller kernels.

wolfehunter, H4831 SC and H4831 are the same powder, the SC just means the powder kernals have been cut shorter for easier metering through powder measures. Use the same data. The above two commenters have provided good idea that H 4831 is a good powder. The amount of powder depends on your rifle and bullet. I don't load for that round so can't offer specifics.

Mine is a 1/8 twist. H4831 sc and 162 ELDM or ELDX. I ve shot 140-195 and the 162 shoots best for me.

I run 160gr Accubonds with IMR4831.

N560 and Reloder 26 are two good ones that will get you another 50-75fps over H4831 and H1000 will work too.

H-4831 SC and 162 ELDM or ELDX
^^^^same here^^^^
Jason found the winning recipe for me when I got a custom rifle built by him. Mine shoots this combo incredibly well. 1/8 moa groups when I do my job right. 12/12 on animals thus far! None went further than 30 yards.

You'll need at least a 1:9 twist. 1:8, or 1:8.5 would be better. At least if you're going to shoot far.

26” 1-8 twist Shilen select match barrel I would run the 175's. I like heavy for cartridge, in pretty much everything.
