The Beehive, in Albany will make a stiff drink. La Kiva, in Terlingua was a trip. Too bad it’s gone… RIP Glenn

Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I miss going to the Trio in Mingus and the Sunset in Strawn, both were a real hoot when we used to go.

Coupland Tavern has been around and well noted (by locals anyway) since the mid 70's. Went there often when I was growing up in Austin. It was very much an 'out of the way' place to go back then. Later (early 90's), the dance hall and restaurant were apparently opened but you could always get a meal there before that time....so some of the reporting is by folks that weren't around then or don't know the true history.

Hall of Horns at Pearl brewery in San Antonio is a nice place to get a brew.... Been there, done that. I guess I just didn't give it a chance. I wasn't impressed. Don't know if Gruene Hall fits the bar/saloon title. I liked it though. Easy going sipping beer listening to Granger Smith live was pretty cool.

The Beehive, in Albany will make a stiff drink. And charge you for three if you don’t pay attention!
