Very sorry to hear of your loss. I am sure that Shadow knew how much you loved her and she in turn, loved and would have protected you until she took her last breath.

I still miss my dear black lab Misty. She was a poster child for every great thing you read or hear about labs.

I got a puppy from a member here in late 2009 and lost her October 28th 2020. She was a Chocolate lab American bull dog mix who was hell on wheels mean and super sweet at the same time. She never left my side for almost 11 years to the day; it was like having a very protective and violent shadow. I can not say her name out loud without teering up.

Labs are special. Sorry for your loss. I had to put Frank down a few years ago. He lived in the house for 13 years. The only dog I ever let a vet put down. I’ll never do that again, It was too hard for him and for me. My wife said she couldn’t stand for me to do it. Get a new pup and things will be better. Good job on the marker.

Man, so sorry. I'm on my 3rd lab. don't know why we do this to ourselves. Labs are such great dogs.

She was my 4th Lab only dog I'll ever have. There so good with kids and love everybody but when somethings not right they'll let you know.

They sure become an integral part of our lives. Now that I'm retired my buddy Riley, a Spinone is with me ALL the time hopefully he'll out live me if not the pain will be terrible

so sorry to hear this.. I too lost my black lab not so long ago. I still haven't gotten over it. I look for her when I go to get in the truck just for a moment. Time helps a little ..
