Last few years I've able to go teal hunting with a great guy on his family's land in El Campo. Always great hunts, and they just kind of guided on the side, but they're not going to do it anymore. So looking for a place preferably west of Houston with great teal hunting, and great lodging and meals. Any suggestions on who I should go to?

Pintail Hunting Club out of Garwood. Been with them several times, never had a bad trip.

Iron Hill Outdoors. Theyre near El Campo and I can vouch for their lodging, food and most importantly, the hunting. PM for more info, if interested.

Thanks guys, will look at these. Have already talked to Pintail. They don't start booking until next month but I'm on their call back list. Will look at these others as well.

I got back yesterday from El Campo hunting with Rocky Creek Retievers. Their lodge is between El Campo and Garwood. Had a great time the 2 days we were their. The food was great....you will gain weight if your not strong minded! I guess that a good thing in a way. The lodge was great also. They leave the lights and T.V. on all night in the main lodge great room in case you want to relax and keep eating snacks they leave out. I went down for a specific goal....BW drakes plumaged out and I got my pair for the wall. My buddy got 2 BW drakes and kept 3 stud sprig pintails and a stud spooner he is mounting.
If your hunting early teal or Nov, maybe thru the holidays I think most of the good services will have lots of birds. This time of year its dicey as the BW Teal are actually migrating back thru el campo area from Mexico/South America and you may not see them on a hunt. Thursday we got them....Friday no BW but we limited out on other birds. I bet we saw a couple thousand pintails Friday. It was great sitting there watching all those pintails come in with a cup of coffee and no worries to shoot....just waiting on teal or other birds to come in to finish up. We actually drove by the gates to pintail hunting farms as they all have fields near each other.
One little detail I noticed was Steve Biggers, the owner RCR was there working....insulating plumbing pipes so they would not freeze. Ate dinner with him and is a nice guy.
