I was east of Cotulla last week and they were chasing doe fawns pretty hard.

Second phase of the rut is about to kick in or the very tail end of the first rut. Really depends on what area of the county you are hunting.

I hunt in Webb county. Been a weird year for the rut. The place we hunt on the boys had no interests until after Christmas. It was actually pretty crazy on Jan 2nd-5th, big boys chasing and scaring off the youngins. Didnt spend much time in November, but most of December. Early December there was little to no action and bucks were all medium size young guys. The boys were back together last weekend.
