Why? I see more of those than bucks. Why do they give you a tag when you can't hunt them in Texas (as far as I have seen)? They should knock a couple dollars off the license and make this an option for purchase.

You can shoot them if you hunt with archery in most trans pecos counties.

Pick up a bow and try hunting them during the bow season, they are fun to hunt

For rifle you need MLD if you archery hunt some counties dont require it.

For rifle you need MLD if you archery hunt some counties dont require it. that's pretty cool, I hunt in Motley County. Do you know if that's the case?

That is what I am saying. You have to have an MLD. I lease so 1) Not my place to purchase that, and 2) even if I could it would be hard to afford. I just feel that something so limited like that should be an option.

Call your local biologist. If you do not have an archery doe season you do not necessarily have to be on MLD to get permits. If you have a high doe population he/she might issue you a couple.
There real busy till end of the month or early next month from what my local one said so give them a call and see what you can do.
