There has gotta be someone on this forum with an old 2 or 4 stroke 250cc or better totaled dirtbike, waiting on the next scrap yard trip.
Everything you ever wanted is on the other side of fear.......

This web site might help you out. They don't show a lot of parts available but have the micro fitches showing the assemblies with part numbers listed. Sometimes you can put those part numbers into ebay and find Mom and Pop shops with them in stock. Good luck with your project! https://www.partspitstop.com/oemparts/c/honda_fl_models/parts

Hit up some of the FB groups. There has to be some take offs there. They made a ton of those motors, they had them in the 3 and 4 wheelers.

Just my .02 cents. I'd get a similar HP Harbor Freight Predator motor and an after market high performance clutch from Buggies Unlimited and just weld up new motor mount plates. That's probably the most cost effective fix.
Last year I had a Club Car ATV that I was stubborn about and decided to rebuild the Vanguard motor vs replace. Got 6 months out of the rebuild before it shelled again, and the shop that rebuilt it only gave me a 90 day warranty. The Predator motors come with a 2 year warranty. And parts are readily available, and will be for years.

I have a mini bike with a 212 predator. That thing sat for 5+ years. During my quarantine I drug it out and it started first pull. I am impressed.

Been piling up parts and resources. Ended up buying a predator motor and the hop up kit to go with it. I don’t have a welder so it’s currently sitting at a friends getting mocked up. If all goes as planned I’ll have it welded and moving under its own power in the next few days. Still need to figure out seat brackets, brakes and my wife says a seatbelt. What did we ever do as kids without all this safety gear. Once I get it mocked up and welded in plan to take it all back apart and possibly repaint it since I’m probably going to weld in some new bars to sturdy it up some. Been looking into rear suspension set ups and I’m kinda liking the idea of a pre-runner style set up.
