Not a duck hunter, but I'd think today would be awesome. Good luck. Pig traps set and we'll see if an old cull buck steps out today. 'Rather clean something today than tomorrow. 'Made it to 10:20pm. The wife was asleep before that, and she's the one that always whines about trying to stay up to midnight. Happy New Year!

Someone was out shooting a daybreak this morning near me. Heard some geese and cranes shortly after so maybe they scored. Happy New Year and no I did not stay up.

I was going to go, but all my buddies bailed. I scouted and had 1,000 pintails on my place, but not much else. Would be nice to knock down a big un. My neighbor has killed a few cinnys this year too. With the wind direction this am, I might have been raining #2 shot on the floor of the drilling rig on my neighbor!!!

I was supposed to go, but I'm out until the 4th. Covid got me. Best cold front of the year and I'm sidelined. 18° with a light snow right now.

Holy sheet. So my wife’s young nephews and I get out on the water about 5 this morning using my fil’s little skinny Jon boat. Fog just rolling across the water making visibility about 10’. 20 mph cross wind and 38 degrees. We pull out of the little slough we put in at and get on the main lake. Make It about 20’ before we’re getting slammed by 3’ rollers from the side coming in blind. I said nope. Lol. Turned around and went back to the ramp. Shallow lake down here got rough! Figured blind in the dark and fog and getting hit by random waves was a recipe for disaster

My pastures were covered in geese this morning. All heading south at daylight.
One shot is all it should take.

I did a walkin hunt and nearly froze my pee pee off. Took this pic going accross lake x bridge, just what I thought it would look like. I’m too old for that at dark 30 in the morning on a boat.
