Looks like someone made a bad shot or he lost a fight and got hooked in the butt as he was leaving. From one angle it looks more like a pizz pour shot.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Looks like a bullet graze to me. Here's what it looks like when one is shot in between the legs when it's running away from you.....(by a guest hunter btw, not me)

Looks a lot like when an old girlfriend's dog tried to run through a barbed wire fence. A few stitches and he was fine.
Betting that buck will be ok.
