Well I picked one up last week and finally took it out an ran a box of shells through it yesterday and all I can say is, where have you been all my life. Accurate, trouble free, 12 + 1 capacity and melts into my hand. All they did was add a little to the barrel, grip length, flat trigger and a semi beavertail but what a difference. The added safety is a nice touch also, it sits perfectly where the ball of my thumb rides. They even flared the magazine well. I've got a couple of 15 round mag's coming to complete the package. Didn't think I'd ever replace my old 239 SIG for everyday carry but I'm afraid it's getting benched. Wouldn't you know it would take another Sig to do it.
It's a big change for me since I've never been a fan of striker fired pistols but the times are changing and so shall I. With a little more time on the trigger I'm confident I'll shoot it as well or better. I've carried that old 239 for over 20 years. I'm going to go ahead and order a Sig Romeo Zero red dot for the XL and give that a try as well. Might as well go the whole way.

I'm still not giving up on my smaller 365, it's just about perfect for a jacket pocket or cargo pockets but the XL is going to be tough to beat for belt carry. May do a side by side test but I can already tell the XL is going to take the trigger and accuracy department. Flat trigger and longer sight radius has advantages. Only thing left to get is a loader for those damn magazines, they're a bear to load and hard on the thumb but operate flawlessly. Any suggestions on a loader, I've never used one?

I haven't shot the XL but I own a 365. Sig hit a homerun with that pistol. Size, capacity, trigger, everything. It's the new standard in a carry gun in my book.

Went to gun store a few weeks ago intending to purchase the 365xl and the employee pulled out a 365x for me to look at. Fell in love. It's got the 365 barrel length and the 365xl grip size. And this one had the sig Romeo installed from the factory.

I'm not sure the slide isn't interchangeable between them.

HWY_MAN - they are interchangeable. I built my own 365X when I swapped a buddy for his shorter slide and barrel. So I have the XL frame with the short top. Works like a champ, is concealable, and a dream to carry.

I've carried for the better part of 30 years, on and off duty. Its the best sidearm for me when I want to be discreet. I love it. When I retire, it will be the sidearm I carry every day.

I have been carrying the 365 for a few years now and it has been flawless. I carried a P938 for years before the 365. One of the biggest differences between the two for me was at the range. The 938 would generally get a few magazines each range trip. The 365 is sometimes the only pistol I take. I would definitely like to get a 365xl.

I said no surprise since the XL has a longer sight radius and with the flat trigger and the finger dropping low on the trigger it had a friendlier pull. The 365's rounded trigger pushes you back to the middle taking away leverage while the XL lets you get to the end taking full advantage of the leverage. The BlackHawk holster made it in yesterday but it was after i got back so I didn't get to try it, but it's fit's nice and snug with the belt loop attachment.

I'm still a little worried about the polymer retention holsters and the damage they might cause to the finish, found out one of my old Ross HI-Power holsters hold the XL quite well.

All in all I'm pretty satisfied with it all, going to polymer and striker fires is a big change for me, one I fought for some time. My brother has been a big fan of Glocks for over 20 years when his department switched over to I believe the 17's, he shoots them and shoots them very well.

I recently purchased a Texas made holster for mine. It's a Versacarry, and so far i really like the concept.

My wife carries the 365, and my FIL carries the 365xl. We used the uplula and were not happy with it. Got this and love it. https://www.amazon.com/Caldwell-110002-Universal-Pistol-Magazine/dp/B01MS120UH It also works great with my xdm 22 round magazines and those are even more of a bear than the 365 magazines. The caldwell does take a little practice to get really efficient, but it has worked great for me.

After I read the first post I had to go back and double check the model being discussed. My experience with a 365 was not the same as y'alls; I hated the thing and figured that it was just Sig trying to meet the requirements of a government contract that called for a cheap crappy gun gun but what do I know since I pocket carry G19 and a sp101 everyday.

You must have some big pocket's. Do you carry both in the same pocket or one in each pocket? A man would need some Kevlar suspenders to carry that much weight in pistols and ammo.

I'm ambidextrous and carry a gun in both my left and my right front pockets. No suspenders required, a good belt is all that is needed. Work dictates that I wear cargo pants and I tried different brands until I found ones with really deep front pockets and since I work pretty much seven days a week I'm always wearing the same thing.

My hubby has the 365 and loves it. I shot my BIL 365 XL a few weeks ago, and was completely blown away. One of the sweetest, smoothest, accurate pistol's I've ever shot. Makes me want to dump my Glocks. lol

Mike, oddly enough the Glock mag loader's work just fine on the 365 mags.

My wife runs the 365 and I the XL. It’s a great little handgun. We haven’t had much luck finding the “right” holster for either after several purchases of various ones online. She has gone to just putting it in her purse. I “think” I want an IWB but comfort has been an issue, so I have been using an OWB but that limits my options as I don’t want it to be noticeable and I don’t always have the right shirt/jacket on to conceal it. What are you guys running for IWB holsters?

I’ve got a crow iwb holster that I really like. I don’t think he is taking business at the moment though.

For the most part I'm pretty happy with my 365 but I always warn people to practice with it a LOT because it has some quirks that can bite you if you're not aware of them. For example I've yet to figure out how to drop the magazine using my right hand and until you have shot it a LOT it's very hard to chamber a round with a full magazine so if you're one of those "empty chamber" folks you might be in for a rude awakening when you go to chamber a round and find it's impossible. Despite all the drawbacks the only gun I like better is my Sig 226. I'm amazed that such a short barrel gun is so accurate...as pathetic of a shot as I am I can routinely ring the steel at 50 yds with the 365. My EDC setup is an Alien Gear holster and mag pouch.

Well I definitely need to practice with mine, getting used to a striker fire isn't an easy change for me. I don't have much trouble reaching the mag release on the XL or the 365 but dropping the mag on. the 365 is a little tougher due to the shorter grip and the heel of the hand catching the mag. I may have benched my 239 but the 226 is a long way from getting benched, I still favor heavy metal and a good single and double action trigger and SIG offers the best.
Top pic is a 226 and the old 239, second is 226 and 365 XL, third is 239 and 365, fourth is 365 XL and 365. The pic's don't really do justice as to how much smaller and thinner the 365's are but give a good idea.

8 rounds in the 239 mag
10 rounds in the 365 mag - 12 round available
12 rounds in the 365 XL mag - 15 round available
15 rounds in the 226.

I have the 365 SAS as a a carry gun. Compact and snag free. Glock 43X for truck or vette.

I have been looking at the Wilson Combat grip module for mine. A friend got one for his and it feels really good. It's just a little fatter than the factory grip and the checkering is very aggressive. I actually decided to order one but they were out of stock and have been ever since.
