I originally posted this in 2016, but the Photobucket debacle cause the thread to lose the pics. The "Aging Does" thread reminded me of one of my greatest hunting triumphs.

For a little fun. laugh

I recognized you by the scar on your snout. I watched you terrorize other does, young bucks, and a hunter (me) for years. I first saw you in 2010 and you dominated then. Already mature, you ruled the roost like you owned the joint. I watched you chase other does for 45 minutes one night. You've stomped and blew at me many a hunt. Somehow, you were always out of reach.

I've been after you for a while now because I'd finally had enough of your crap. The dates on the pics are correct.

But you finally made your mistake.

P.S. That scar is a perfectly round hole in your skull. I bet someone tried to silence you before. But they missed the mark.

Cool memory & pics up

I had a doe like that a while back, she would always come up to the blind and stomp, snort and scare the other deer off.
I should have popped her the second time she did it, finally took her at the end of the year.

Thanks. Lord knows I need to thin out a few more does at my place, but I rarely have many opportunities to hunt outside the peak rut which makes it hard to pull the trigger. You just never know what's on her six... deer2

Always love a good slick head story.

I have two that are easily recognizable at my stand. Ones a reddish color and the other looks like someone dusted her neck with baby powder. Doereen and Cocaine Katy I call em. Well, Doereen started to show how smart she was this year, so thinking next year will be her time to go.

Pretty dang cool to have that much history with one

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I've had the nearly the same situation for the last few years. Always running other doe and young bucks off. I had game cam pics from earlier this season showing her staring up at my blind for more than 4 minutes straight.

A couple weeks ago I was hunting a new set up off a pipe line and had an absolutely beautiful main frame 10 with twin kickers on his g2's come in. I had already shot my buck this year so I just had to watch him. Even though I already shot a buck, that didnt stop the buck fever and I had a hell of a time trying to get a picture of him through my binos. I finally had to switch it to video mode and take a screen shot.

He eventually moved off to the North of me and ol Hell-Doe came in shortly after with her posse, bossing everyone around as usual. I didnt want to shoot and risk pushing the buck out of the area, so again, I had to sit and watch.

Well about 20 minutes later I hear Boom-Whack followed shortly by a text from my buddy that he got the buck. I didnt hesitate a second, got my 30-06 up and let it loose.

Not going to lie, it was a little sad in way. We had almost gotten to know eachother over the last 4 years. Didnt get a picture with her but here's the buck down along with a big ol Calico my dad had his sites on.
