I don't have any history with it, except for last weekend. I know that Angus had it for several decades....

I bought it new in january or February 1983 along with the 3x9 Leupold, dies, bullets, brass and all reloading components the same day. I was a kid in the candy store when I left the gun shop.
Both my boys used it growing up and has spent many years in the safe so last year I sold it to skinnerback. It needed a new owner and be able to please others.
Rifle is the spotter model and not the bull barrel.

grin Thanks Stub, she's a Daddy's girl for sure. Sure hope it stays that way.

I don't know what it is with my kids....both of my Son's acted like sissies when it came to learning how to gut animals, had (& having) to push them. Oldest boy's good now but man.... Both of my daughters were (& are) like, get out of the way slow poke I'll do it. They'll both go right in there elbow deep in them guts pulling them out, no big deal. roflmao

It's crazy, LOL. I've never had a problem ever in my life gutting an animal. To see my own Son's be hesitant and beat around the bush, then to watch my Daughter's push them out of the way and get the job done is comical. roflmao

After watching my baby girl shoot a 17 HMR at 50 yrds, then jump right into centerfire rifles @ 100 yrds for the first time last weekend......she's ready for a rifle and I'm already working on that!

She was drilling targets with both a 6.5 Creedmoor, and 6.5 Grendel. Really impressed me, and the other guys that were kind enough to help. She's ready for a deer this year and it's gonna happen. up

Adding to the story.....I loaned one of my Nieces my beloved 300 BLK rifle, and she killed her first buck with it while the kids & I were in Paint Rock hunting. Bang flop, and off to the taxidermist. Good stuff.

Very nice and a heck of a lot of fun going on. My daughter has kinda turned girly so doesn't go out and pose with wildlife anymore. She was a good arrowhead hunter at one time. Good job!

That's awesome, Skinner. You have a beautiful family. It's pretty obvious they're as crazy about you as you are for them. Good stuff. Kudos to Angus for trading you the gun.
