What’s the latest and greatest 9mm self defense ammo? Hopefully in stock somewhere. Will be for an FN and a Taurus GX4. Thanks in advance.

Speer Gold Dot 124 Grain +P JHPs.
Check your owners manual to make sure your handguns can handle +P ammo, if not use the standard pressure 124 Grain Speer Gold Dots.
recoilgunworks.com has both of them in stock.

Those Speer Gold Dot has been the standard load all others are compared against for years.

130-ish grain lead RNFP over some HP-38, Unique, Bullseye, etc.

I have 124 grain Federal HSTs in my P365, 147 grain HSTs in my M17, and 165 grain Gold Dots in my 4006.

I have used many, but settled on Federal 124gr HST (P9HST1). It seems to have the most consistent expansion and penetration across various conditions.
