Hunt county think 2nd rut happening saw bucks following doe Sunday morning saw couple bucks cruising this afternoon . Sunday 4 doe came out 8:30am within minutes they get spooky and lots of looking back. A nice young buck comes out but he doesn’t crowd them a small spike comes out and chases a smaller doe . I typically see this and a few days later the big bucks show think you should definitely be hunting all you can right now.

East Texas. Primary rut is done here. Bucks are back running together and tolerating one another for the most part.

Getting a little rut activity in Wise. Jumped up a mature buck with a doe this morning.
It’s the 2nd rut though. Only chasing I’ve seen this year was at the end of October up until first weekend in November.

Saw doe briefly stoped on corn they were spooky and young buck came and chased them off and around through my shooting lanes. A mature buck showed up and locked horns with the smaller one they spared for about a minute not really aggressive and the smaller one took off. Bucks were roaming separately saw 4 different bucks one wide 10 point good mass short tines

Kinda par for the course but there’s a ton of chasing at my place right now.
Stayed in the stand all but 1 hour of daylight Saturday then hunted until 11 yesterday. Saw a lot of deer, but no shooters. On the way out, I had a gun with me I wanted to shoot and went to the side of the property I rarely hunt to do so.
3 bucks chased a doe right through me just as I finished shooting. The reason I’d finished was because I’d shot my last bullet.
None of the 3 were the buck I’m after so they were safe regardless.
Since getting home, I’ve had several bucks at feeders and just got a pic of one with its nose to the ground after a doe.
Timing is everything. Talk about a case of the Mondays…..

I reported above on the 3rd of filming a buck after a doe and yesterday I had bucks and doe at feeder same time. Climate change.

Good eye that is his very near miss and deep graze shot, he said he was trying to not ruin any meat and a hit is a hit. And he tries for neck shots that seem to reduce running after hit .

I havent followed closely so I may of missed it, but are you saying that high neck grazing shot was a killing shot??
