Family is leaving for a trip to Colorado Springs. Does anyone have any recommendations or stops that y’all recommend?

7 falls, garden of the gods, cave of the winds, pikes peak. Plenty to see and do. The royal gorge and cripple creek aren’t too far from there.

All above are excellent recommendations. If you have kids, the Colorado Springs Zoo is one of my favorites and it you are a history buff, the Manitou Cliff Dwellings are worth the visit.

Yes I went to the Academy.
Mule deer will be probably still rutting at the Academy, Garden of the Gods Hiking up to Seven Falls and Hunt Falls Broadmoor Royal Gorge

If you want something to remember go to Bishop Castle. It reminds me of the castle from Edward Scissorhands. If you go, I hope you don't have a fear of heights.

All of the above and Upper Mine Camp Road is an easy sight seeing trail with spectacular views if it's open. They close it to all but residents when there's snow on the ground. I drove the whole thing in a Honda Civic and never spun a tire.

Edelweiss German Restaurant is a must for us when we visit there. All of the above attractions are spot on also.

The Broadmoor is one most beautiful hotels/resorts in North America and the service is impeccable. It's the only hotel in the world that has been awarded 5-Diamonds from AAA every year in the history of the rating. Yes, it's expensive. But, dress nice and make a reservation at one of the restaurants. It really is worth it.

'Went on an elk hunt on a ranch owned by a guy that lived in the condos across from the Broadmoor. He came up for a couple of nights, to mingle with the commoners I guess. The buddy I went with said he looked like a Ralph Lauren wannabe. He nailed it! I saw one bull's azz through the timber for a few seconds, spotted by me. 5 day guided hunt. Hey, but I now receive a calendar from the ranch and the previously failed outfitter business they tried to run on their own.

All great recommendations. If you have little kids there is also Santa Claus land at the base of Pike's Peak.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. The zoo, Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak were all on our list. We wanted to have a nice dinner one night so we will look into the broadmoor.

If you have time and if it fits your interest this may also be a place to go.

I've been there a few time, Garden of the gods and the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center are cool shame there is no snow yet the views are great AND they got a dispensary almost on every major road for your shopping convenience.

Don't short yourself on time at Garden of the Gods. We could have easily spent an entire day there.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

These guys touched on all of it. I was going to suggest 3 things if you're taking kids up there. I'll consolidate here.
1. Do the zoo, and do it at night. It's all lit up for Christmas. And feed the giraffes. 2. Pikes Peak train to the "North Pole". 3. The wolf rescue center.
Great area up there. We're currently house shopping in the Woodland Park/Divide area.

Go see Dragonmans museum. I wish I would have when I was there but didn’t know about it then.
