Man, am I screwed. Wife has become amenable to my purchase of a nice Henry Big Boy Case Hardened .357 Mag model H012MCC. Yeehaw! I'm sure I'll find one somewhere, errrrrrrrrr, NO. May as well be looking for a danged Unicorn. None to be found in the Houston area, and the Henry plant is running a 1 year backorder. If any of you hear of the exact (new) model I am looking for, let me know. Willing to go to MSRP.

Caddo guns in Jefferson has Henry's I will check next time I'm in town and a pawn shop in Dangerfield had a few models last time I was in there.

Well, after over a year of searching online, I got an email from Henry that was worded like an apology for this past year's past supply issues. They also stated several reasons for why this was, not the least of which was Covid and high demand.



I wrote back kinda taking them to task. I explained it sure didn't stop them from flooding my email with advertisements for guns no one could actually purchase.



Their response was that if I still wanted one of their guns (I do), I was to place an order through an authorized dealer, and they would make sure I got it within 60~90 days.



I placed an order/down payment this past Saturday. Time will tell if Henry holds up their end of this deal. Either way, I'll let y'all know my experience.

I feel this way all the time . I always have something missing from a build or unavailable items. i guess its the world we live in till they can get those container ships docked and unloaded

i think custom barrel and action makers are waiting for stock steel they need to make stuff

UPDATE

Well Henry came through! You can't order directly from Henry, but apparently if you get ahold of the right person in the company, they'll make it happen.

Most dealers were telling me that I'd wait another year on this gun as they had no control over when they would receive it after ordering one. Carter's Country expressed skepticism even after they placed the order 2 months ago. When CC's called me on Wednesday to tell me I could pick it up on Friday, they wanted to know how I got it to show up so quickly. Apparently they have a waiting list and I was pretty far down on it.

So thrilled to get it! Enjoy the staged photo, and no, I would never discharge a gun in that manner.

I've shot one like that and was surprised how accurate one can be doing it. Not difficult at all.

Henry has really stepped up thier game. I always thought their guns were butt ugly but that one looks really nice.

I have the opposite opinion. Built to look good but not to be beat on for years. Hope I am wrong and I am glad an American company stepped up to help the end user instead of just the distributors.

The case hardened Henrys are the best looking lever action.

I have the same rifle. I swapped out the stock lever for the large loop lever. Makes a darn cool rifle just a tad bit cooler 😉
