Two things about this that make me mad:
1. The next greek letter in line was Nu, and then after that was Xi...they skiped those two so we wouldn't offend Xi from china. What a crock. We should be offended because they let it out.

2. reports are saying this variant causes mild symptoms. Essentially making this variant as dangerous as a cold.

Any virologist or person who has studied viruses knows this is the way things go, viruses mutate and get less dangerous with more mutations. The more deadly mutations die out in the population too quickly to pass effectively, see ebola for that effect.
