Yesterday Txdot treated the bridges from Ft. Worth westward down I-30 and I-20. Is there a storm coming? There was nothing on the news last night about it.

Might drop down to freezing Thursday morning, but I wouldn't expect any icing. I don't know why they would be doing that?

Were doing the same down 380 towards Decatur and up 287 to WF last night/this morning. I think that last storm has TXDoT on their toes

With the amount of pre treating TX dot does I’m convinced the company that sells that solution is in with either a state politician or a higher up at Txdot

We're supposed to drop 20 degrees later today into tonight and Southern Colorado is supposed to get some snow. They may be thinking this front will drop down into Texas.

I saw the white lines last night and came back to check the weather.

Friday night is supposed to drop just below freezing with a very slight chance of precipitation. TH & FRI are holidays, so I suspect they are doing this pre-emptively, in a effort to minimize OT, and make sure roads or covered... it would not take much of a shift in weather patterns for them to really need the treatments.

They did it so the dfw news could run a story about it.

My experience with TxDot is that it's run by a bunch of damn idiots, the guy at the Graham office will get someone killed with his pride and refusal to admit the traffic lights aren't right in their cycle time. By God though he's good at turning a 2 day project into a month.
