Looking for input and ideas for a 22 2500 mega cab. Thinking for the back seat backs for a couple panels, not sure I want this on the front seat backs.

I have to ask what’s the purpose? A gun not easily accessible like within arms reach is useless in my book and if it’s simply for transporting guns then thr are much better ways to do it. If it’s because it’s cool looking and your Into that sort of thing then I guess go for it but that looks like something better suited for a gun safe door and not the back of a seat IMO.

With as easy and often as vehicles are broken into I dont leave guns in a vehicle. What Ol Thumper says makes a lot of sense to me.

It’s a Dodge, this would be far more useful to you

That is a stock picture for a vendor. Not looking to tacti-cool it like that. I do not leave in the truck, but to transport. The cases take up room, the back of the seat is wasted room, solve 2 problems with one thing.

I do not keep a firearm "on or about my person" while driving.

Bobo, see if you can drive that thing around the ranch and feel it out. I want an honest review.

OP, I wouldn’t want that mounted behind the rear seats simply because I always have a ton of other gear in the backseat making it hard to access. I like the idea for just using at the lease, but it would have to be as pictured for me

There were at the old mining camp talking about how extreme that trail was, then here comes a Suzuki Samurai and a Subaru off that same trail

I like the idea for just using at the lease, but it would have to be as pictured for me That is why I am thinking the back of the rear seats. If I stack the soft cases back there, the seats will not recline back, hard cases will be in the bed or under feat of teenagers. If they are on the back of the seat bac, seats recline, they're not crushed, and not under feat.

Had a ‘14 Mega (Miss my Mega!) and don’t know if the seat function has changed, but I laid the rear seats down a lot it seems for carrying various things. If they’re the same, I think something mounted on the back would be a problem.
If you have the Rambox bed, I’ve seen some gun carriers that go in those.

How about just getting a camper shell and throwing the cases in the back?
