Beautiful deer btw

They do a 2 day management hunt for $3000. Guided but no food or lodging. This hunt is for 2 bucks of guides choice scoring up to 160 gross. If the guide shows hunter a buck to shoot and hunter passes then he has only 1 buck left to shoot. Basically it whatever shows up at that blind that does not fit the management program. This is not a trophy hunt, but a management hunt for bucks that do not fit into the program. When two bucks are shot then hunt is over. If guide deems a shot at buck as a hit, that counts as one of the bucks.

What would typical age of management bucks be?

Those bucks will be 2-4 yr old deer. Most will be 8pt frames with some 4x5 or 5x5 with possibly some kickers. They may be narrow or wide, thin horned or heavy horned, tall or short tines...they just will not fit the frame type that owner is wanting on the ranch. He likes large typical frames with good to great mass/beam/spread. That is judged by age class for that particular buck. On this ranch when a buck gets to be 4 yr old, he will be a really great buck. Most trophy bucks are shot a 5 or older.

Here are just a few pics. We do not hunt specific bucks since this is only a 2 day but rather go to blinds that have the best chance of seeing management bucks. If one of these bucks shows up then the hunter will be told that buck is one of his bucks to shoot.

Buck on the left of feeder in this pic below. The other buck is a Signature Trophy buck....the type bucks the landowner wants breeding and more that have this tine length, beam length and mass.

These bucks below are management bucks.

The buck on the right side of feeder is a management buck. The buck on the left is probably only a 4 yr old buck and in the top group of his age class. The management buck is in the bottom of his age class.
