Continue to randomly have cattle onto our lease during hunting season from neighboring property that graze on it when it’s not hunting season. I just got onto the lease, but the other guys have hog panels up around their feeders as a few hogs pass through sometimes too.

Anyways I have my feeder with Tpost around the legs, but was curious if a varmint cage guard would keep the cows out from emptying my feeder?

We have cattle on our place and I have well built varmint cages on them. They don’t even waste their time trying.

A lot will depend on how tall the feeder is as well.

Cattle cant pick up scattered corn like deer and hogs. Their top lip doesn't move they eat by licking or drawing grass into their mouth with their tongue. some will try but give up when licking dirt now if corn piles up they will try harder.

I've seen cows knock over feeders and break off motors by scratching their backs.
