More importantly is this Dog.

It was abandoned at my work parking lot in Sherman, on Saturday night.

I am taking it to the Vet today.

I cannot keep it, I have no fence.

Looks and acts healthy. one small hot spot on front left leg.
Has been good around other neighbor's dogs and my Cat.

It is FREE to a good home.

It is urgent, no rescue groups have room. So by Thursday I will have to take it to the county shelter.

Have been keeping it in the Garage. with only short time for walks.

Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue has a branch in Sherman I believe. A quality organization that does a great job evaluating and finding homes for GPs. I would look them up and contact them.

I did contact them, no foster homes available ..
And another rescue groups that is shutting down after many years.

Darn thing is, I have always envy the neighbors dogs that stay in thier yard, no leash, roam a little, don’t cause problems. This dawg might the same…
First morning , after bring it home at 10pm, and putting in the garage, well I let it out. Disappeared until Monday morning… hungry of course, couple of other dogs just on the other side of the house… gang buddies I guess lol.

My bet is it would continue to roam and come back.
Just not sure if I’m truly comfortable with that.

Basically have corn fields around us, just two streets here, and so it’s semi country.

Dang, that’s tough to hear. I have a GP mix that would love another buddy, but the Mrs’ Toy Poodle would not. Hope you find a home.

I could do it but I can’t pick it up. Got a ranch it could roam on. Caveat is id have to kill it if it attacks the wildlife. Someone would have to hold it till Wednesday of next week.

Possibly really good news is, when stopped at local Ace hardware, some folks were talking about dogs..
turns out one has a Pyr, and is likely willing to take this one. Crossing my fingers.

So happy you found a rescue to take it in. My favorite breed of dog. Hopefully the rescue can place it with a family who understands the challenges with owning a pyr.
