True that it is public. You had never hunted that lake or spot before so call it what you want. Here's the pic of the last time we took your rig out.We smoked'em!

How embarrasing...my apologies.

You a duck racist? Or some kind of feminist mad that Guy shot the hen spoonies?

Evidently, I am duck racist because that’s a pile of trash. There is someone feminist mad but it ain’t me, read back through this…now might be the time to set the beers down.

FYI - there ain’t a diver flying worth cleaning…skin sticks to the breast, even God’s trying to tell you not to eat them. rofl

If you do shoot a ringer, here are step-by-step instructions on the best ringer dinner recipe. up

Step 1: Breast ringer, get skin off, this is the hardest part.

Step 2: Put plastic bag on breast, and smash it with rubber mallet, then cut up real good with a knife, this will help to digest ringer.

Step 3: Put mixture in a bowl..

Step 4: Add 1 cup of dried dog food (high quality)..

Step 5: Mix well, and watch them go crazy over it. smile ani

That might be the most idiotic response I've seen on this forum. So your saying a Canvasback which was one of the highest paid ducks back in the market hunting days aren't worth cleaning? If you can't clean a diver then your either a puss pop or uneducated. Not to mention the best way to cook a duck is with the skin on. Go back to the old timer section cotton top your losing it.

Jr I will not pick up my gun for a canvas back you can take that to the bank. I’ll shoot the Lips off a spoonbill though

That's insanity. Canvasbacks are my second favorite duck to eat after a whistler. Maybe third if your shooting mallards in the peanut/corn fields. Keep on blasting those spoons. Once you shoot a 3 man of all spoons your eligible to join the spoon platoon. It's an elite group on here. We haven't initiated anyone in the last 5 years. GR used to head it but I had to take over as president recently. Once your initiated the 4 biggest bills get put on a necklace and your officially in. The old SP's can use the necklace as a call and nothing brings them in like it. Taking applications through January if your interested.

I would tread lightly on that. Somethings are better off not looking up.

speaking of divers....red heads are good if you catch them before they hit the coast as well

Only redhead I ever caught is my wife. Poor woman.

I’ve shot a few redheads of the duck variety. They decoy like a dream. If you were to make a scale of prettiest/dumbest duck they’d have to win.

You are correct on dumb. Hunting them with a simple "J" hook decoy pattern down at Surfside was lots of fun years ago.

Wait what?

To make sure I have this story straight because I missed it earlier.

Guy calls Mark says he's on a wad of birds.
Mark drags buddies along
Everyone stacks up birds
Next day Mark goes to Guy's hole (I have an inclination this happens alot and I'm not just talking about duck hunting)
Guy sits back 300y and watches his "buddy" (term used loosely) hammer on his hole with is buddies taking turns too

How close am I?

Meanwhile Tcup is at their homes licking their rugs and cutting paper. Yes, Tcup is quite the artsy home maker.

You left off the part about a good breakfast cooked for them at the boat launch along with duck cleaning services.

Not sure how this came back to me as I was half way across the state in college but alright Joe. Your right I was at someone's home tearing up the "carpet". Might have been at your house filling the void of you being "not a man". I don't give up my spots though so that secret is safe with me.
