Nice looking pups! Are the sire and dam hunting dogs or pets? Wondering why the dogs are priced higher than the gyps?
The Dam is both a hunting dog and a pet. Since 1972 all my hunting dogs have been pets. The Sire belongs to a friend who hunts. I have never hunted with him or the Sire. The Dam has been trained on Pen raised quail, and pigeons. I trained her. She will be 3 years old December 2nd, and loves to hunt. I understand that registration papers. and a pedigree don’ t make a bird dog. Time in the field goes a long way toward doing that. Two of the best dogs i ever trained were English Pointer Brittany Drops. This is the first litter i have ever raised on purpose. I wanted my GSP to have a litter before i have fixed. One goal in choosing the Sire was to try and have some solid liver pups. The Lord. Blessed us with 4.. The Dam and Sire pedigrees are posted. Look at them and see what you think. It was my choiceto ask a little more for the males. I am not a breeder😊 Hope I didn’t share too much info.
I would like to figure out how to post a video on Texas Hunting Forum, but haven’t figured it out yet. I contacted the owners of the forum, but have not received a reply as of yet. I have one liver patch Ticked mail still available from the litter, one solid liver female, and two solid liver males.

Beautiful pups. I don't know a thing about training them tho.
So, for posting a video. This is second hand info because I've never done it. That said, you cannot post a video directly. You have to post one in youtube, and then link that to this forum using the "Insert Media Tag".
Thank you for the Post Video info. I will look at that. Unless someone is trying to win field trials toward achieving Master Hunter with their dog(s) i don’t think training a bird dog is rocket science. I can help one down the road toward minding, but i can’ t smell birds for them. I started by reading Water Dog in working with Labs, and Gun Dog in working with my bird dogs. The issue is getting them on birds. You won’t always do everything right, and you will know when you mess up. You learn as they learn. I believe in working with dogs that hind sight truly is 20/20.. I wanted my female German shorthair pointer to have one litter. I considered that it might take the edge off of her speed in the field. It may be just me but I think I can already tell a difference. I was talking with a man that sold me my female this afternoon. He had a male that just went to dog heaven by the name of Storman Norman. It was said that Storman Norman sired 81 litters in his day. When you look back on his Pedegree he carried 28 master hunters. I believe these pups are going to make great hunting dogs, and can make somebody a great friend in the process. They have the breeding.
My wife just picked u our new puppy Annie Lee. Wife is in awe over her already and i cant wait to see her tonight when i get home. Sure hope she's going to be an outstanding upland bird dog. Thanks Steve for praying over her and my wife for the ride back home.

I had a good hunt on bobwhite quail Saturday morning with my bird dog, Dolly Pepper, and my pet. Looks like I may have to raise and train these two German shorthair pointer puppies that I have remaining from the seven puppy litter. On my hunt Saturday, Dolly had a couple of points on Quail at least 100 yards away. She held the point and waited until I was there to flush the birds. I left some in the past year, because I likethe sound when they whistle. Looking at plans for a flight pen. Never can tell😊
