Now, that isn't the real truth, is it? You were posting there in 2019. So you haven't skipped forums for 4 years.

Naw Colt, He's good. True or not, In the old thread the guy was accused of scamming some people in hunt trades or something like that and called out for telling some hunting story whoppers. Then he vanished from the forum. Scammers and other people with ill intent have come and gone from the forum before. Usually it would been better to report it to a mod to let us handle it, but there was enough there to be worth looking into it and asking. It's always better to cut them off at the pass rather than waiting until after someone has been lied to or scammed.

But I don't even know what I'm trying to scam. Anyone have any ideas? I barely have time to even scout, and to scam? Not my cup of tea.

All i want to do is enjoy the Texas outdoors and was hoping someone who knows more than me (obviously) would show me. I was lucky enough to meet some great guy on the Facebook hunting groups (since it's easier to verify if someone is real and actually exists).

Oh well. I guess I'll be a lone wolf haha.

You have already explained how you got into the mess of forum bans and drama. Just be honest with forum members, follow the game laws, ignore the drama, and it will pass.

I wish it was the country. Too much has built up. I remember Fulshear to Weston lakes being empty. Now there's Polo ranch north of 1093 and VanBrooke has really taken off. It's not what it used to be when I first saw this area 8 years ago.

I make a bunch of sausages because I am Polish. Grandparents and parents and friends have taught me. Unfortunately all my sausage making equipment was left in Alberta and all I have here is a cheap meat grinder.

Jokes aside, not my fault women don't show themselves on this forum haha. They like to stay in the shadows I'm assuming?

I have hunted the SHNF in years past and found it quite rewarding. I wont be out there this year but I will happily give you some advice I have learned over the years.

I really dont enjoy hunting deer too much but I have shot a few out there just to say I have done it. My first piece of advice is to go scout and then scout some more. When I say scout I dont mean just go walk around in the middle of the day looking for tracks. On your first trip of scouting that is what you need to do and hopefully you will find an area that you can get to in the dark and set up on your next trip. I would make my own ground blinds and have it ready to come to 30 minutes before sunup and be there waiting and watching. If you dont see anything by 10am get up go scout again and find a new area. Make a new blind and be back again on your next trip 30 minutes before the sun is up. Keep doing that until you hit the jackpot.

I had the best luck for deer in the mornings. hogs in the afternoon.

For hogs just walk the major creeks until you find super fresh wallows. Find a spot up wind and wait there till dark. If the wallow is a fresh one they will come. No luck move to the next wallow and try again.

This is how I do it and it works for me.

Good luck
