What's the difference between a skunk and a clarinet? No one cries when you run over a clarinet. The clarinet is my most disliked musical instrument. It aggravates the heck out of me. I love any kid wanting to learn how to play any musical instrument and I encourage the heck out of that, but the clarinet just hurts my bones and my brain. Can't freakin' stand that sound when they are learning how to play but even after they learn learn how to play the sound of the clarinet aggravates me. I don't know why. My ex-wife played the clarinet and I have a niece that is currently sleeping upstairs that plays the clarinet. I can't stick enough ear plugs in my head. God help me. That screeching sound.  I think we've made a breakthrough regarding your hatred for the clarinet.  Detective Grizz got me.  I have actually not liked clarinets since Jr High Band. Just hurt my brain. If I was a band director the clarinet section would have to practice outside.
