Thanks everyone. Hunt has been fun so far, but frustrating. Seeing about 50-100 does every day and 20-40 small bucks. I thought we would see more mature ones. I passed up this one opening morning. Success last night on my birthday, why does every hunt involve some type of drama? This is actually the first animal I have ever taken on my birthday in 54 years of hunting. Passed up some really good ones, waiting for a monster. On this day, two dozen cowboys pushed 300 head of cattle right thru my deer area!!! In the end, I settled for a very pretty buck, out of 3 mature ones, with my good friend and hunting partner helping after an uphill sprint to find them already moved across the valley. One shot from the CVA Accura and it was all over!!
