Any dog that was bred to get badgers out of their holes has to be a pretty tough breed.

Any dog that was bred to get badgers out of their holes has to be a pretty tough breed. Love them, but they can be azzholes though. I never thought I would kill a dog in front of my little girl, we were just watching a movie together and the dog got too jealous. Madi went to potty, came back and jumped in my lap. Little weiner just snapped and grabbed her arm and started shaking. He died. They are hell on gophers though.

My Wife and I have two Dachshunds and our Daughter has two. So when we are 'babysitting' her's....we have four in the house. They are a hoot. You don't want a 'doggie door' with Dachshunds though. They will bring all kinds of 'catches' back into the house. Squirrels, Gophers, Possum, baby rabbits, etc... Thank God...we don't have any badgers where we live.
