That reminds me of a time we were in New Orleans on a Sunday and our plane didn't leave until early evening. So we were sitting in a bar and some guy dressed in a cheap suit walks in, then proceeds to sit down. The guy starts hammering whiskeys with coke and choking down some heaters. So the bartender starts chatting him up about his day and such. The guy was just taking some time to relax before his interview..........at the strip club down the street. Thinking about that story always makes me chuckle a bit.

I've been doing interviews all week. Lots of no shows. Yep, my wife is hearing about no shows at her firm, really shows how some people were raised/what is being "accepted"

Jeez TexFlip. I couldn't imagine no showing. I'm putting in too much time prepping to miss out. Maybe you should interview me. I recently did my first "virtual" Team Viewer interview, the interviewers didn't even turn their cameras on. Was very strange, as I am accustomed to sitting down formally at a desk and looking people in the eye. One of the interviewers who would have been my immediate manager had some kind of accent that sounded like a mixture of Indian and Venezuelan, VERY hard to understand and I couldn't read his lips either because there was no video. Pretty sure I didn't answer a couple of his questions properly, as I was struggling to understand just WTH he was saying. I was told coming into this interview that I was the most qualified and #1 on their list of candidates, just had to get through the interview LOL. I normally interview well. Anyway, position went to someone else. Good for them.
