Well fellas, I got the greatest wife in the world. I have been drooling over A Ruger Red Label .28 ga for years but never could unarse the money for a new one. $1500 bones was pretty steep. My wife told me"You work hard just go buy one". I still couldn't do it. Well I found one through this forum and man I can't wait. I sent the money today and it should be here next week. So I stopped at Gander to get some shells. I promptly left Gander with no shells. WOW!! They are higher than a cat's arse.

Question? Does anyone have a link to some better priced shells? I want to try several weights and speeds so I will be ordering several brands speeds and weight. Post some links or locations up. Thank you in advance.

The best priced shells I've found this year were 9.57 / box for Win AA. I bought two cases, and a reloader. If you're interested in that I can look back and see if I can find that link. Let me know.

And you'll love the RRL 28 gauge!! Shot one a few times and I fell in love!. Although I was unable to find one on here, I did find a Remington Premier Upland 28 that I can't wait to get out to the dove fields!!

+1 for able ammo, best prices I have found for 28ga, now I need the O/U 28ga, like you I want the Ruger, going to use the Browning BPS for now. Laid off last month so buying another gun at this time is out of the question.

bought some from BPS earlier this week, they were $9.99 per box, Able Ammo has some that would be fine for dove and quail starting at $7.90, even with shipping it was still cheaper. But if you want empties to reload the AA is the only way to go.

I went to college with the son of the guy who owns able ammo and able glass. They are a good group of guys and they have some good prices.
