I'd love to get a better picture of the one in the back ground. He never came to the feeder. I thought the one jumping the fence from the protein feeder was cool! ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2021/09/full-66198-312719-screenshot_2021_09_26_180935.png) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2021/09/full-66198-312720-screenshot_2021_09_26_180528.png)

I think that is the same buck in both pics...the bigger one walking away and the one jump out of the feed pen.

Yep, same buck. And your backwards date rustles my jimmies. I agree that it sure looks like the same buck And where is this at that it was 32 degrees on 9/20? We had lows at our place in Schleicher county in the mid to upper 40s a couple mornings last week.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Interesting everyone thinks it’s the same deer. Though the feeder and protein feeders are on different ends of the ranch. Not saying it’s not, could be but I usually see different deer on the north part of the ranch. These guys still need another year or so!

It is not uncommon for a buck to travel a long, long ways during before and during the rut. Not nearly so much when in a summer pattern provided there is plenty of groceries and water around of course

Not nearly so much when in a summer pattern provided there is plenty of groceries and water around of course It's about 3/4 of a mile. Not far in the big picture. However, because of the lay of the ranch in the spring and summer, we tend to see different deer on the north section of the ranch verses the south section. When the rut comes in all bets are off. We do on occasions see the same bucks north and south. Even the hogs we see, we usually see different groups north and south but not always.

My bad on this one. I thought this was the protein feeder on the north part of the ranch. A more thorough look and it's the south protein feeder. They really look very similar. The south protein feeder is less than 200 yards as the crow flies so it may be the same buck. I'll pull the camera cards later this week. Hopefully I have some better pics of them.
